The Association
The cultural association Lo Spino Bianco was born on 27 November 2007.
In its statute reads, in Article 2:
"The purpose of the enhancement and protection of the territory of the image through Lunigiana Castle Fosdinovo and promotion of cultural activities of various kinds." Examples include:
- The protection, conservation and management of buildings of historical and cultural value and gardens;
- The protection of the historical heritage of Lunigiana territory;
- The organization of events, performances, concerts, courses in writing, sculpture, painting, drawing;
- The funding of scholarships for historical research, archaeological and artistic;
- Management of visitors inside the Castle Fosdinovo;
The chairman and vice-chairman of the association, Vanni and Pietro Torrigiani Malaspina (32 and 30 years respectively), were convinced over the years that the cultural activities undertaken at the Castle Malaspina of Fosdinovo are very important, and need to be intensified and better structured.
For this reason they decided to form an association that is able to inspire in people, through the organization of events and projects of greater prestige and greater diffusion, an active interest in a broad range of cultural events.
The association "Lo Spino Bianco" is for those who intend to support and interest in ideas as in the media, in this consciously ambitious goal.
